June 09, 2010: VICTORVILLE, CA • Investigators are searching for two armed men who locked employees in the bathroom of a shoe store Wednesday afternoon and then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Victorville station officials.

Payless ShoeSourceThe robbers — described as black men in their 30s, one wearing all black and the other a green shirt and khaki pants — entered the Payless ShoeSource on Seventh Street and La Paz Drive a little before 1 p.m., Karen Hunt, spokeswoman for the Victorville station, said. Once inside, they each pointed handguns at the store’s two employees, she said. The men then took one of the victims to the cash register, forced the employee to hand over the cash in the drawer and locked both employees in the bathroom.

The employees were able to trip an alarm to summon help, she said.
