WeTip Hotline Promoted by County Prosecutor's Office

WeTip, which has been used nationwide since 1972, became active locally in 2008 as part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, an anti-crime and anti-gang initiative through the prosecutor's office.

"We are now the number one WeTip community in the nation.

We were overwhelmed by the response to it."

City of Arcadia Supports and Utilizes WeTip

We Tip, since its inception in 1972 has received over 300,000 tips. These tips from concerned citizens have resulted in over 12,000 arrests, over 6,200 convictions and the seizure of more than 300 Million dollars in illegal drugs. We Tip has been commended for its excellent efforts by such leaders as Presidents Bush, Reagan, Ford, Bush and Clinton, as well as California Governor Arnold Schwarezenegger. We Tip has worked diligently in bringing anonymous information to law enforcement agencies including the FBI, U.S. Customs, DEA, ATF, as well as literally thousands of local, county and state law enforcement agencies, The We Tip Hotlines are 1-800-78-CRIME, 1-800-47-ARSON and 1-800-87-FRAUD and are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to report crimes. You can also submit a tip through secure e-mail by using www.wetip.com and clicking on the “Submit Tip” button on one of the state pages. You may be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward.

The Arcadia Police Department supports and utilizes the We Tip Program. The We Tip program is dedicated to making all communities, such as Arcadia, a safer place to live. People helping people is what We Tip is all about, so get involved. If you witness a crime; please speak up by calling one of the We Tip hotlines.
