Medical Toxic Waste Dumping Tip Leads to Arrest

Hesperia, CA…Anonymous information called into the WeTip National crime hotline has led to the arrest and conviction of Alan and Rhonda Trindle, both of Hesperia.  The couple reportedly had a public storage unit containing rotting medical waste, chemo, sharps, red bags and expired pharmaceuticals.

According to Investigator Steve Rivera, of the San Bernardino County District Attorneys office, authorities were able to remove quite a bid of the hazardous medical waste  as well as dead animals, costing the County over $45,000.  The Trindles’ both received 56 days in jail and 36 months probation.  They were also ordered to pay  $12,902 restitution to the county fire dept, and they were also ordered to pay $39,414 to the division of Environmental and  health services. The investigating officer rated this tip a 10, on a scale of one to ten stating “very good tip.” The informant in this case requested a cash reward and can now call to arrange to pick up their reward.
