Yucca Valley man apprehended and convicted of street gang terrorism after call to WeTip

Yucca Valley, CA…Anonymous information called into the WeTip Anonymous National crime hotline has led to the arrest and conviction of Randy Owens of Yucca Valley, California.  Owens was wanted for an active felony warrant, and the call to WeTip led law enforcement to apprehend Owens.  Final Charges were handed down and included Street Gang Terrorism and Felon/Addict/etc Possession.  Owen was sentenced to of 136 days in County jail and 3 years formal supervised probation and $2,700 restitution to the victim. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s rated the tip a 10 on a scale of 1-10.  The informant did not request a reward in this case, they just expressed a desire to clean up the gang situation in their neighborhoods.
